Got blisters...but happy!

by GSDWheels, (http://gsdwheels.shoe.org/)
Well ladies, I managed it!
Today, I took part in my first Race For Life for Cancer Research. I wheeled 5km in mud and wet grass, not to mention potholes, loose gravel and many many large stones!
I was the only wheelie out of 2000 runners! I now know why, it is not a wheelie frienjdly race. But I still did it. Managed a respectful time of 38 minutes. Pretty happy with that time as I manged to come in around the first 150 who crossed the line!!!!!
Must remember to get off road wheels on for next year tho!!
I ran this year, for my Gran and my Uncle David, who passed Easter sunday this year. Both were taken by cancer. I also ran for anyone else affected by this disease, either directly, or indirectly. Managed to raise over £200 = $400 in sponsorship too.
So hopefully someone will benefit from my efforts.

All in all, had a fantastic day, will be definately looking for more ROAD races to do next.........next years will be great too..wanna join me?????
:thumbsup
