Happiness, glee and joyfulness!!!!!!

well, you know, I've just looked over my past few blogs, what a sorry state of affairs!! Really does make me seem the unhappiest girl in the world, which, as you know, is not true!!

So, well, Hamish ended up gettin x-rays done on Monday. His hips are fine, GREAT!!, but, the knee not quite so good. The vet found a "thing" inside the joint, has sent the plates off to the ortho guys in Edinburgh, so we'll wait n see what's happening, fingers, legs and wheels crossed all is well there. So had a rather poor dog on Mon nite, still half asleep from sedation, did mummy bit, wrapped him up all nice n warm, till he heated up.
While he was at the vets, I had a demo on this new powered section for my wheelchair, although I'd set my heart on it, I'd never amanged to get a demo. WOW! Is all I can say! What a bit of kit, it will go anywhere! Speed, up at around 24mph, handles kerbs ect, so good stuff. I was very lucky to receive another donation yesterday, this was a suprise!! I eventually did order the chair part of the set up from the USA, turns out it was less than half price, including extras and shipping and a made to measure service!!! So pretty chuffed there, just waiting to hear what flight it's arriving on in Edinburgh, so I can get oot an aboot. The extra saved on the chair, along with the suprise donation, mean I'm not not too far away from the target....so hopefully can get the whole thing soon and start terrorising the kids on their wee motorcycle things..you know, the tiny wee ones with the annoying two stroke engines!!!!!
I may even just consider a run to the local pub for a wee jar, all in the name of testing, of course!! HeeHee
Seriously tho, it was amazingly easy to pedal, the guy thought I'd struggle with it, as he did on the wee tiny hill outside my driveway, well, I got on, and, although in 7th gear, pulled away no issues....HHmmm..He's not met many whelchair bound ex rugby players then!!! HeeHee So, after I scared him by driving up and down 4 inch high kerbs, and over rough ground, I reluctantly gave it back to him....well, not long now, I'll have my own to play with!!
Don't you just love this time of year? Not the shopping part as such.. But, the deciding what to get others, I always like to try and think about the gift, something useful, but meaningful and personal. sometimes tho, this results in me giving some strange gifts to folks....
Like this yr, as part of my little sister's, I've included a battery charger (WHAT???....no not for those batteries!!). She has my wee neice 8mths old, all her toys from now on will most probably need batteries, so, in the long run, cheaper!! Seriously tho, that's not all she is gettin, I still need to get her main gift. I think I'm goin to try and hit the local toon centre over the beginning of next week, EEKKK!!! Mad folks with trollys and buggies!!! Grumpin husbands, screaming children, santa's everywhere and christmas music in every shop!!! Nah! I love christmas shopping....NOT!!
Anyway folks, that's aboot it for this week, I'm sorry for the boring, depressing blogs of the past wee whiley, looks like now, things are gettin much much better!!
